What to expect:

During the treatment, patients lie comfortably on the warm table (undress to your comfort level) and HEPA filtration airflow. Massage, electrostimulation, cupping, gua sha, trigger point, segmental acupuncture, neuromodulation, exercise therapy, heat/cold and any other modalities may be used. Counseling regarding lifestyle, nutrition, and herbal supplements may be provided.

For pain and neuromusculoskeletal disorders, we typically want patients to come in twice a week for two to three weeks and then reevaluate your progress. We expect a reduction in pain, improved range of motion, and improved symptoms but that depends upon the type of injury and person, response to treatment varies. Acupunctures positive effects build over time and the body get back into balance. Acute issues require fewer treatments closer toether. Chronic, more long term issues typically require more appointments until a maintenance schedule is established. Either treatment plan is tailored to your goals for the best possible healing outcome. Most patients return to normal activities right away. Ill, frail, or elderly patients should not plan to drive immediately following treatment.

Most patients feel relaxed, and float out after treatment. You are invited to ask any questions during our post treatment session.

Preparing for Your Treatment:

  • Eat a light meal prior to treatment 2-3 hours before session
  • No coffee or tea at least 3 hours before treatment
  • Avoid spicy foods & alcohol before or after treatment
  • Try to rest and relax after treatment. The specific effects of treatment are still continuing even after the session has ended.
