My name is Dr. Minji Cho, a licensed acupuncturist, primary care physician, bodyworker, and certified neuromuscular massage therapist. My foundation in neurology and sports medicine has guided me to an exceptional strategy for easing both acute and chronic pain.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from California State University of Monterey Bay. This was just the beginning as I pursued higher education, earning Masters and Doctorate degrees in Acupuncture from Five Branches University. Seeking further enrichment, I ventured to Seoul, South Korea, studying under esteemed Dr. Kim. This experience led to my specialization in neuropsychology and chronic pain management.
My pursuit of excellence led me to explore neurofunctional acupuncture and functional muscular assessment, transforming my approach to myofascial pain treatment. Inspired by my sister's life-altering condition, I've embraced a dual mission: to heal as many souls as possible and to alleviate chronic pain. I employ techniques like Motor Point Acupuncture, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), kinesthetic acupuncture, and more, addressing sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, post-operative rehabilitation, and traumatic injuries.
I deeply connect with the body's language, relying on palpation for insightful assessments. Patient care is my priority, offering tailored and compassionate treatments integrating acupuncture and harmonious therapies.
My thirst for knowledge continues as I pursue a Ph.D. at Saybrook University, delving into Mind-Body integration and Nutrition. This pursuit showcases my dedication to unraveling the connections between the mind, body, and nourishment.
I hold the belief that the body possesses innate intelligence to heal when provided the right environment. Through acupuncture, herbs, and proper nutrition, the body can naturally regenerate, achieving optimal health. Empowering my patients is my goal, and my gentle, intuitive approach is my signature.
Experience my transformative expertise and journey towards vitality and liberation from pain. When not immersed in healing, you might find me running or cherishing moments with my family.
